When the Goin' Get Tough, the Tough Go Browsin'

Being a mother with the chaos of home life can be straining. So sometimes I go to stores (without child... important... without child) to make me feel like life can be orderly, peaceful, smell good and not have to pick up things off the floor. I don't always buy, but here's where I browse:

  1. Oh I miss not having a Crate and Barrel and fell in love with Land of Nod when we were in Chi-town with Sarah & fam. I've never experienced a Container Store, but have a feeling it would right up my alley. LOL. Thanks for sharing your shopping loves!

  2. Not that I want to rush Christmas - oh wait, I'll be in Disney for Christmas, so yes I do! - I am excited to be working on Michigan Avenue and seeing all the lights and store window decorations. Crate and Barrel is right across the street :)

And I know this only because I worked there - Starbucks' "motto" is to create a 3rd home...it's not your house and it's not work...why not come and relax in the comfort of OUR place. And boy do they make it that way, eh? I love going there to read or play on my laptop!

  3. Oh, how I love your taste, girlfriend!

I LOVE Williams-Sonoma for the exact reasons you stated! And, their gift wrapped packages - to die for.

I love Nordstrom's just for the bathrooms! :)

C&B - nothing like it at Christmas. And, Land of Nod...sigh...just love that store.

Can Jason and I come with you and Dad to PB when we're old, too???

The first time I walked into "The Container Store" was the first time in my life I thought I might just become an oranized person - just so I could have the stuff.

Starbucks - oh how I love thee!

Now I'm all giddy to shop!! :)

  6. I'd like everyone to know that the commenter named "Lauren" is a designer at Crate and Barrel and recently completed designing a brand new store in Towson, Maryland.

Also, I tried in vain to work in the design dept. at Crate but apparently Lauren has the magic touch. I suspect she has no idea how talented she is.

    Just thought you should know.

I like to name drop famous people.
