On Eve

I'm struck by a pattern I see when complete strangers see my beautiful baby girl.

Women say, "Oh, would you look at those big blue eyes" or something to that effect.

Men often say, "Hey, there, buddy." One out of ten men will notice that she's in pink and correct themselves.

and children... children say it like it is: "That baby don't got no hair!"

Indeed. :)

Babies and onlookers. A surefire combination for a breakout in foot in mouth disease.

People always ask me how old Lincoln is. When I tell them, I have always gotten jaw drops and "Oh my, he's so tiny" or "WOW" or some other shocked response. I never quite no how to respond.

Eve is so precious.

I love that people comment about her. They can't help themselves. I just think it is funny how the women all same the same thing, as do the men and children. Interesting.

:)

Thanks, Sar... I think your Lincoln and Max and Jack all have special traits that make you wanna stop and comment. (Oh, those eye! Oh those cheeks! Look at those dreamy lashes!)

There's something to be said for stereotypes -- they all come from somewhere. And, she does have beautiful blue eyes. ;-)
