The beautiful smells, the way the kitchen gadgets call out my name innocently... The nice people there who make the shopping experience relaxed. And the way they wrap their green boxes with that beautiful cream ribbon... the world is at peace.
Especially at Christmas... the lights, the smells, the decorating of their windows... life is good. And their Land of Nod Children's Store is a page out of a Storybook.
I love their table decor. I told Dan that "when we're old and rich" I'm going to march into one of their stores and order an entire table's worth of dinnerware and decor. haha
Okay, only in AMERICA would a store exist simply to store our abundant love of stuff. I suppose I should feel guilty saying that, but it's amazing... if you want to store your collection of vintage pushpins (huh?) or create a closet that is exactly the dimensions of your dreams... it's all there. I was there yesterday and it took all my strength to only leave with the things on my list. Oh, and stocking stuffers there are a BLAST.

Oh I miss not having a Crate and Barrel and fell in love with Land of Nod when we were in Chi-town with Sarah & fam. I've never experienced a Container Store, but have a feeling it would right up my alley. LOL. Thanks for sharing your shopping loves!
Not that I want to rush Christmas - oh wait, I'll be in Disney for Christmas, so yes I do! - I am excited to be working on Michigan Avenue and seeing all the lights and store window decorations. Crate and Barrel is right across the street :)
And I know this only because I worked there - Starbucks' "motto" is to create a 3rd home...it's not your house and it's not work...why not come and relax in the comfort of OUR place. And boy do they make it that way, eh? I love going there to read or play on my laptop!
Oh, how I love your taste, girlfriend!
I LOVE Williams-Sonoma for the exact reasons you stated! And, their gift wrapped packages - to die for.
I love Nordstrom's just for the bathrooms! :)
C&B - nothing like it at Christmas. And, Land of Nod...sigh...just love that store.
Can Jason and I come with you and Dad to PB when we're old, too???
The first time I walked into "The Container Store" was the first time in my life I thought I might just become an oranized person - just so I could have the stuff.
Starbucks - oh how I love thee!
Now I'm all giddy to shop!! :)
Oh boy. Just looking at their logos makes me ache for shopping!
Hooray for the C&B shout-out! Thanks, Emily! :)

I'd like everyone to know that the commenter named "Lauren" is a designer at Crate and Barrel and recently completed designing a brand new store in Towson, Maryland.
Also, I tried in vain to work in the design dept. at Crate but apparently Lauren has the magic touch. I suspect she has no idea how talented she is.
Just thought you should know.
I like to name drop famous people.
